Jax's "Who's Building the Ark?" is a revelation for people like me who've felt overwhelmed by the complexities of managing people. As someone who has always believed in the power of empathy and authenticity in leadership, but not good at implementing it, this book resonated with me on a deep level.
Jax's writing style is engaging and relatable, and her insights are both practical and profound. She draws from a wealth of experience to offer concrete strategies for understanding and motivating different personality types, fostering a heart-centered workplace, and navigating the challenges of today's ever-changing business landscape.
One of the things I appreciate most about this book is its emphasis on the human element of leadership. In a world where it's easy to get caught up in the bottom line, Jax reminds us that true success lies in valuing and empowering our people. Her approach is not only compassionate but also incredibly effective.

I've read a fair share of books on organizational theory, managing people, personality types and their intersection. Christine Jax's book is among the best and most concise of them all. Rather than spending hundreds of pages on esoteric or theoretical gobbledegook, Jax provides a brief overview of how to build an effective organization. Then, through her "Jax Personality Types," she does a deeper dive on the type of people found in every organization. These descriptions are spot on! Better yet, she describes how to motivate these individuals and suggests where each personality should fit in your organization, exactly the type of helpful information I look for and can utilize. "Who's Building the Ark" should be a must read for anyone in, or aspiring to leadership.
Drawing from her deep commitment to women's issues, Christine gives voice to the silent struggles and triumphs of women from all walks of life. Her poetry illuminates the complexities of the female perspective, weaving together stories of joy, sorrow, strength, and vulnerability. Through her eloquent and moving language, she invites readers to connect with their own experiences and those of the women around them. “Women Within” is more than a collection of poems; it’s a celebration of womanhood and the deep feelings and complex thoughts we give to our journeys.
This is a lovely and powerful read that feels like a warm hug. You'll catch yourself nodding along, feeling wholly seen and understood. The author has a beautiful talent for capturing the essence of womanhood with all its complexities, joys, and struggles. This book celebrates the ordinary moments, the small victories, and the silent battles we all face. Jax finds profound significance in everyday life, like a cup of tea, a shared look, or a handwritten letter.

This is a beautiful collection of poems that resonated deeply with me. The poems are simple yet powerful, each one touching on different aspects of what it means to be a woman. I found myself pausing often to reflect on the words, especially in pieces like "Tired of Being the Goddess" and "Forbidden Love." This book feels like a conversation with a close friend who understands the complexities of life. It's a book I know I'll return to often.

This was a book I had to read through twice to appreciate and understand the meaning behind the beautiful words of love, loss, self-doubt, inner strength and the complexities of relationships. In particular, the self-destructiveness of staying too long in a relationship that you know is bad for you, physically, mentally or both, as shown in “A Slow Death.”
Conversely, Christine Jax also writes about a true supportive love, which was why “Because You Ask Me Why” had to be my favourite poem in the book. Everyone deserves that kind of love in their life.

I really loved this book of poems by Dr. Jax. The way she writes made me feel like she gets what it's like
to be a woman in the world.
As someone who goes through ups and downs, it was nice to read things that capture the everyday feels - both good and bad. The poems cover little happy moments and also tougher times in a gentle way.
